Powers and duties of the Management Council:
The Management Council shall be the supreme authority of the University and shall have the power to review the actions of the Board of Management and the Academic Council save where the Board of Management and the Academic Council as provided in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under the Act, the Statutes, the Ordinances or the Regulations and shall exercise all the powers of the University not otherwise provided for by this Act or the Statutes.
Constitution of the Management Council:
I. Ex – officio members
The Chancellor.
The Pro – Chancellor
Member of Parliament representing the Constihrency where the University Headquarters is located;
Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Constituency whcre the Headquarters of the University is situated;
The Vice Chancellor
The Secretary to Government, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Department, Govt. of Kerala.
The Secretary to Government (Finance Department) or an officer not below the rank of Additional Secretarl, appointed by him;
The Secretary to Government Law Department, Govt. of Kerala or an Additional Secretary nominated by him.
The Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Govt. of Kerala.
The Director of Dairy Development Department, Govt. of Kerala.
One nominee of Indian Council of Agricultural Research not below the rank of Deputy Director General.
One nominee of the Veterinary Council of India.
