History :

The Academic Staff College (ASC) came into existence under Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, on 29th December 2015 within the premises of the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur. The first of its kind to be established by a professional university, , the ASC which has its motto as “Siddhirbhavathi Karmaja” was inaugurated by Dr. B. Ashok, the first Vice Chancellor of the University during a solemn function conducted at the Mannuthy campus. The ideology behind the venture was to emphasize on the central role the teachers play in the elaborate system of education. The ASC was formed with the purpose of providing continuous teacher training/enhancement programmes that are subject-specific as well as general in nature that lead to the holistic development of the participants. At present the Academic Staff College, one of its kind among professional universities is taking lead role in farmer training classes also.

The Academic Staff College has its own building in the Mannuthy Campus of Kerala Veterinary and Animal sciences University with
