Staff members of the Department are consultants in the treatment of elephants at Guruvayoor, Cochin and Travancore Devasoms, Forest Department of the state and of those belonging to the private owners. Also involved in the treatment of wild and captive animals belonging to the Trichur zoo, circus troups and private owners.
