13Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University hosted the curtain raiser programmes, a forerunner to the 30th Kerala Science congress 2018. The programme held at Kabani auditorium of University headquarters was presided by Dr. Joseph Mathew, Registrar and Director (Entrepreneurship) in charge. Dr. Girigan Gopi, Principal Scientist, MS Swaminathan Research Foundation introduced the programme. Dr. Arjun Prasad, Scientist B, KSCSTE, Tiruvananthapuram gave an overview of the various research grants, financial aids, awards and fellowships offered by Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment for the benefit of scientists, researchers and students. Dr. Shelly Mary Koshy, Agricultural Scientist, MSSRF handled a session on “Organic Farming”. Dr. Koshy John, Dean CV&AS Pookode welcomed the gathering. Dr. K M Shyam Mohan,Finance officer , KVASU, Dr. N. Ashok, Director of Academics and Research, offered felicitations. Dr. Vidya P, coordinator of the programme proposed vote of thanks.
