The valedictory function for the Study Abroad Program jointly conducted by the University of Georgia (UGA) and Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) was held at Joys Palace at 6:30 PM. This unique shadow program provided foreign students with the opportunity to observe routine laboratory investigations carried out in university clinical laboratories and veterinary hospitals, focusing on the diagnosis of tropical diseases in animals. The program was designed to offer observational experience, with students not directly handling animals or samples, as there was no research component involved.
During the program, students interacted with faculty from both universities, discussing the various diseases diagnosed each day. The function commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Sam P. Kurup. The event was graced with felicitations by several distinguished guests:

Dr. Yana A. Cornish from UGA also felicitated the event, expressing gratitude and announcing plans for the next batch in 2026. Special acknowledgments were given to Dr. Anoop and Dr. Justin, the coordinator of the study abroad program, for their significant contributions.
The event concluded with a heartfelt thank-you address by Mrs. Tori, a teaching assistant from the University of Georgia.
This collaborative program has provided invaluable observational experience and fostered a deeper understanding of tropical animal diseases, strengthening the academic bonds between UGA and KVASU.
