The interested students can go through the research profile of each faculty using the University website. Considering the research interest of the student and that of the faculty the student can select the appropriate faculty and college. The student may further contact the faculty through the email available in the website and inform the interest in doing research under his/her guidance. If the faculty agrees to the request the student should submit to the selected faculty an official request of his/her Head of the department or the Principal, recommending the name of the student. The student may conduct further online/offline discussions with the faculty to arrive at a suitable research topic. Further the faculty will submit to the DAR the official request of the student’s HOD/Principal along with the title of the research work and the willingness of the faculty to guide the student. The DAR will inform the faculty his opinion and if agreed will direct to submit the agreement signed by the student with recommendation of the HOD/Principal of the student. On acceptance of the agreement by the University DAR will issue an order and directs to remit the prescribed fee at the college. The advisor will verify the fee receipt and confirm that it is in order. The advisor will take necessary steps to get the approval of the project from the appropriate bodies of the university and allow the student to start the research work. The advisor and the department HOD will be responsible to see that the student pays the stipulated monthly fee and other charges of chemical and usage of advanced equipment. On completion of the research work the faculty will report to the University the same along with the details of fees remitted by the student, the abstract of the research work and publications.
The scholar will submit the synopsis of the research work to the Professor Research Council (RC) of the college, after thorough discussion of the topic with the major advisor and advisory committee. The Professor RC will forward the synopsis to the appropriate Project coordination (PC) group for verification. The PC group chairman will forward the synopsis to the Chairman of the Project coordination committee (PCC) after getting suitable modifications from the student as per the recommendations of the PC group. The PCC Chairman after discussing in the synopsis in the PCC group will forward the corrected synopsis to the Faculty Research Council (FRC). On approval of the projects in FRC the same will be submitted to the DAR for orders. DAR will issue orders of approval for the Masters programmes. For PhD synopsis the same will be submitted to the Academic Council for approval based on which approval order will be issued by the DAR.
