Training programme on Scientific feeding & Management of Pigs held at CPPR, Mannuthy

                    Training programme on “Scientific feeding & Management “was held at Centre for Pig Production & Research, Mannuthy from 18th to 22nd December 2012. Dr. H. Subramanian , Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences , Mannuthy inaugurated the Training programme. Eight farmers of which six from within the state and two from Tamil Nadu attended the programme. Director of entrepreneurship Dr.S.Ramkumar addressed the trainees and interacted with the farmers on the problems and prospects of pig rearing.
                 Various aspects of feeding, breeding and management of pigs were discussed. Newer concepts in waste management, pregnancy diagnosis and animal identification were demonstrated. Theory and practical sessions were conducted in all aspects. Certificates were distributed in a function “Sangamam 2012” organized to honor the retired labourers on 22nd December 2012.. Registrar, KVASU Dr.K.P.Sreekumar, Director of Academic and Research Dr.A.Jalaludeen and Professor of Farms Dr.Francis Xavier attended the function. Ttraining manual was released during the function.
