                                  Sealed competitive limited tenders are invited for the supply of an Imported “Microscope with digital camera along with accessories” whose detailed specifications are provided, for the project on “All India Network Programme on Haemorrhagic Septicemia” at the Department of veterinary microbiology, College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur –680651, Kerala.
Specifications:
1. TRINOCULAR MICROSCOPE (WITH INFINITY OPTICAL SYSTEM AND ANTI FUNGUS TYPE
Main Body with quintuple nosepiece, mechanical stage right handle, with refocusing mechanism, halogen illuminator base supplied with field lens unit with diaphragm, halogen lamp 12V-35W, vinyl cover ; Trinocular Eyepiece Tube (100/0 0/100) Eyepiece 10X (Field No.22) (2 Pcs) Objectives : Plan Achromat 5X, N.A.0.12, Plan Achromat 10X Ph1 , N.A. 0.25, Plan Achromat, 40x Ph2 N.A. 0.65 and Plan Achromat 100X oil, N.A. 1.25, oil-immersion, spring-loaded. It should have Condensers of the configuration : 0.9/ 1.25 H, D, Ph1, Ph2, Ph3. It must have attachments to impart the dark field effect usable upto 40X
2. LED FLUORESCENCE
Fluorescence light attachment with powerful LED illumination should be quoted. Easy-to-use LED Fluorescence with 2 LED poisitons and the filter sets should be easily insertable and removable by Push & Click method for blue excitation filter set.

3. DIGITAL CAMERA & ITS SOFTWARE

High Resolution Digital Color CCD Camera 1/1.8” with the latest Firewire technology, The resolution of 2080 x 1542 Pixels = 3.2 Megapixels ( Basic CCD resolution), 3x 12 Bit RGB, Maximum exposure time 180s. Dynamic range – 61 dB, Frame rate 12 fps (1040 x 770). Camera capable of transmitting live image on to PC monitor through fire wire interface with C-Mount adapter. It must be supplied with Camera Adapter for 1/2" CCD Camera with cooling option.

Camera should be with software with multi-fluorescence modes capable of defining up to 5 different colour filters, should work in monochrome mode as well as colour mode, with shading correction, features to reduce dark current, flat field correction. Full -screen live image, Automatic white balance, Measurement Tool should facilitate calibration of any camera to the microscope with display of calibrated bar & measurements in the live image. Must store measurements along with the captured images. Programmable resolution selected from wide variety of different camera resolutions for both live & captured images. Should adjust red, blue & green colour values in the live image. Multi-Focus tool, Text Stamp: insertion of user identification codes directly in the image.
The Trinocular microscope with accessories should be installed in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Mannuthy.
CONDITIONS
1. Tender for Supply of Equipment should be accompanied by an EMD @ 1% of the total cost of the quoted items by way of crossed DD favouring HEAD, VETERINARY MCIROBIOLOGY, COLLEGE OF VETERINARY AND ANIMAL SCIENCES, MANNUTHY.
The sealed cover containing tender should be superscribed “ Tender for Supply of item as per No No. VMC/ICAR/8/2012-13 dated 08/01/2013

2. Tenders should be accompanied by an agreement in Kerala Stamp paper worth Rs.100/- as per the format appended.
3. Late and incomplete tenders and tenders without EMD and agreement in Kerala stamp paper will not be accepted.
4. Selected firm will have to furnish a security deposit of 5 % of the total cost of the item and execute an agreement in Kerala Stamp paper worth Rs.100/-
5. We are exempted from the payment of customs and excise duty for our procurements and hence prices quoted should be exclusive of these. Prices inclusive of sales Tax and installation charges if any may be indicated separately.
6. The exact specification details of make, name of manufacturer etc. of the item offered must be clearly specified. Warranty card of the item also should be provided at the time of supply.
7. Rate quoted for the item should be for Thrissur, inclusive of freight charges, and Installation and demonstration charges. The item should have a warranty period for Two years. Details of warranty offered should be clearly stated in the tender.
8. Period of firmness of the quoted prices should be clearly stated in the offer.

9. The sealed tender addressed to Professor and Head and Principal Investigator, “All India Network Programme on Haemmorrhagic Septicaemia ( AINP on HS) ” Department of Veterinary Microbiology, College of veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur and should reach on or before 23.01.2013 3pm. The sealed tenders will be opened on the same day at 3.15 pm in the presence of tenderers or their authorized representatives.

All rules governing tenders to government offices will apply in this case as well. The item should be supplied within a week of confirmation of supply order. The Head, Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary & animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur, shall have full power to accept or reject the tender without assigning any reason, to do so.
