KVASU participated in the State level Dairy farmers meet held at Kuruppanthara from 7th to 8th February, 2013

                       Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences university participated in the State level dairy farmer’s meet and exhibition at Kuruppanthara, Kottayam Dist. on 7th and 8th of February, 2013. The meet was organised by the Dairy development department in connection with inauguration of dairy plant at Mannoor and distribution of subsidy of the feed, by the Chief minister Sri.Oomen Chandy . The two days meet was attended by Hon. Finance minister for State, Sri.K.M.Mani, Minister for Dairy development, Sri.K.C.Joseph, Forests, Wild Life Protection, Environment, Sri Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan and Minister for irrigation Sri P.J.Joseph, Director, Dairy Development Department, Smt.K.T.Sarojini, officers of Dairy development department, other dignitaries . 1600 farmers had attended the two days seminar. Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences university presented the mobile exhibition unit in the exhibition therein at Kottayam. Dr.Deepa Ananth, Assistant Professor, Directorate of Entrepreneurship had handled session on “Dairy extension and Precision farming” in the seminar.

State Level Ksheeramaela 2014 was organised at Manjoor, Kottayam on 15 th of February.During the valedictory function , Dr.Sudheebabu, Professor & Head, Dairy Plant was given a felicitation for the services rendered in connection with the design and erection of various Dairy Processing Plants in the State.The Memento was presented by Hon:Chief Minister Sri.Ommen Chandy .
