01An orientation programme for 63 students (42 girls and 21 boys) of First year B.V.Sc. & A.H of CVAS, Mannuthy of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University was held on 28th September, 2011 at the Seminar Hall,CVAS, Mannuthy. Dean, Dr. H. Subramanian addressed the students and explained about the anti-ragging measures taken by the college authorities, importance of upholding the dignity and reputation of the institution. Dr. N. Ashok, Professor (Academics) explained the rules and regulations of B.V.Sc. & A.H degree programme and emphasized the importance of attendance, curricular and extracurricular activities. Assistant Wardens of Men’s and Ladies Hostels explained the hostel rules and regulations. Dr. Justin Davis, NCC Officer (R&V), Smt. Molly Cherian, HOD of Physical Education Dept. and Dr. T.S. Rajiv, NSS Officer briefed the activities of R& V Sqn., Sports & Games and National Service Scheme respectively. First meeting of the Anti-ragging squad, Mentoring Cell and PTA of the freshers were also held. Dr. S. Maya, Officer-in-charge of UG & PG Academics introduced the Students’ Advisors to the freshers and their parents. Dr. Preethy John, Officer (i/c) UG Academics conducted the course registration formalities.
