25Orientation programme for the first year under graduate students of BVSc&AH, B.Tech Dairy Science& Technology, B.Tech Food Technology and BSc Poultry Production and Business Management will be held at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode from 29th to 31st October 2015.Directorate of Entrepreneurship of the University is organizing this programme with the support from Director of Students Welfare. Compared to previous years this year number of students have increased to nearly 600. University launched two dairy Science and Technology colleges at Chettachal, Trivandrum and Pookode, Wynad this year. Moreover a college of Food technology was established at Thumburmuzhy, Near Chalakkudy in Thrissur District. This programme envisages to create awareness about the various activities of University including Directorates of Academics & Research and Entrepreneurship and constituent Colleges. Different sessions in the Orientation programme includes ragging and sexual abuse in educational institutions, The Power of Emotional intelligence- Motivation & Learning Mentoring, Developing smart personality with high level competencies, Transactional analysis, cyber crimes, prospects of Veterinary, Dairy, Food technology and Poultry sciences courses along with Counseling sessions and group task. Students will get the opportunity to interact with the Vice Chancellor of the University.
There will be cultural programmes on 29th and 30th October evening which include Natya Sandhya by Kerala Kalamandalam Troup and concert by Mathangi Sathyamoorthy respectively. Various sessions will be handled by Ad.Sunil, Jananeethi, Thrissur, Dr.B.Ashok, Dr.Joseph Mathew, Dr.K.Devada, Dr.K.Vijayakumar, Dr.Sisilamma George, Dr.G.Girish Varma, Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Dr.Sivarajan, Dr.C.K.Suresh of ATMA and Dr. Vinod Battathirippad. Director of Students Welfare Dr.N.Divakaran Nair is the co-ordinator of this programme. Vice Chancellor Dr.B.Ashok will inaugurate the programme on 29th October 2015 at Pookode.
