Freshers Orientation programme 2015 begins@Pookode

                             Three day Orientation programme for the first year under graduate students of BVSc&AH, B.Tech Dairy Science& Technology, B.Tech Food Technology and BSc Poultry Production and Business Management started at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode on  29th October 2015.Directorate of Entrepreneurship of the University is organizing this programme with the support from Director of Students Welfare. Compared to previous years number of students have increased to 528. Vice Chancellor Dr.B.Ashok inaugurated the 2015 Freshers Orientation Programme at KVASU HQ, Pookode. students should consider higher education avenues to succeed in life, VC told. Registrar Dr.Joesph Mathew  presided over the function. Finance Officer Dr.Syam Mohan, Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan and Controller of Examinations Dr.Ramnath offered felicitations. Director of Students Welfare Dr.N.Divakaran Nair welcomed the students.  This programme envisages to create awareness about the various activities of University including Directorates of Academics & Research and Entrepreneurship and constituent Colleges. Different sessions in the Orientation programme includes ragging and sexual abuse in educational institutions, The Power of Emotional intelligence- Motivation & Learning Mentoring, Developing smart personality with high level competencies, Transactional analysis, cyber crimes, prospects of Veterinary, Dairy, Food technology and Poultry sciences courses along with Counseling sessions and group task. Students will get the opportunity to interact with the Vice Chancellor of the University. Vice Chancellor Dr.B.Ashok, Officers of the University Dr.K.Devada, Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Dr.Sisilamma george, Dr.K.Vijayakumar and special Officers  Dr.A.jalaludeen, Dr.P.Sudheer Babu, Dr.A.K.Beena and Dinkar Singh. Experts in different areas like Adv.Sunil, C.K.Suresh, Dr.Sivarajan and Dr.Vinod Battathirippad  will address the students.   Natya Sandhya by Kerala Kalamandalam Troup was held on 29th October 2015 and concert by Mathangi Sathyamoorthy  will be held on 30th October 2015.
