Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will organize PREBAV-2015(Poultry industry-Researcher-Entrepreneur-Banker Agri Venture) the Entrepreneurship summit at Hotel Mascot, Trivandrum from 16th to 18th November 2015. .Directorate of Entrepreneurship the University is organizing this event. This summit will include Poultry industry- Entrepreneur interface, Stakeholder based workshop for revision of Package of Practices Recommendations 2015, Workshop to identify Interface for Livestock Entrepreneurship portal and Entrepreneur-Banker-Scientist meet. Representatives from stakeholder departments like Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development and Public sector under takings, NGOs, Entrepreneurs, Scientists, Veterinarians, Scientists, representatives from Industry, banks and University are expected attend the programme.
KVASU will launch a unique programme namely voice based SMS for livestock farmers of the State on 18th November2015. University will launch the programme for the livestock farmers of the State in association with Reliance Foundation. Milma Chairman Sri.P.T.Gopalakurup will launch the programme. Dr.Reju IAS will inaugurate the Poultry industry interface on 16th November 2015. Vice Chancellor Dr.B.Ashok will inaugurate the Stakeholder based workshop for revision of Package of Practices Recommendations 2015 on 17th November and Managing Director KSIDC Dr.Beena IAS will inaugurate the Entrepreneurship meet on 18th November 2015. K.V.Shaji Chairman, Kerala Grammeen Bank will deliver keynote address during the entrepreneurship meet on 18th November2015. Entrepreneurship summit will create a platform for Entrepreneurs, farmers, Scientists and bankers to develop sustainable Agribusiness ventures in livestock sector. Around 250 entrepreneurs, scientists, veterinarians, representatives from industry and Bankers will participate in the three day event. Revised Package of Practices of KVASU will highlight the farmer friendly research findings in the area of livestock sector. Moreover this edition will give more emphasis to organic farming, ethno veterinary medicine, One health, dairy technology, entrepreneurship and animal welfare including elephants.
