As a part of plan project on “Start up village in livestock production’, Directorate of Entrepreneurship of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University distributed “Grama sree” cross bed layer chicks and poultry feed to the selected beneficiaries farmers on 28.11.2015 at Pullazhy, Thrissur district. Sri. Therambil Ramakrishnan MLA launched the programme.The project envisages for developing a sustainable development model in dairy, poultry and allied sectors. As part of the initial phase of the project, based on the stakeholder demand in order to increase the productivity appropriate inputs like 5kg poultry feed and five “grama sree” cross bred layer chicks were distributed to each farmer. Dr.Janus, Asst Professor, KVASU took classes on scientific poultry production. The Benefiaries were selected based on survey. This programme envisages to produce organic and Nutrich eggs for the Startup project Says. Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Director of Entrepreneurship, KVASU welcomed the beneficiaries.
