The Students’ Union 2014-15 of College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy organized a three day National Techno-Cultural Fest named ‘Riddhi‘15’ from 25th to 26th November, 2015. The official inauguration was held on 25th November at the Main Convention Centre, Hotel Dream City, Pattikkad, Thrissur. The grand event was inaugurated by the Former Chairman of ISRO Padma Vibhushan Dr. G. Madhavan Nair. Dr. G. Girish Varma, Dean of the college presided over the function. The ceremony was blessed by the presence of Prof. (Dr) A.K. Srivasthava, Director and Vice Chancellor of NDRI, Karnal.
The programme provided a platform for effective interaction among the students, farmers, entrepreneurs and industrialists belonging to dairy and food industry. Riddhi ’15 witnessed a massive participation of students from various professional colleges, entrepreneurs, industrialists and organizations related to dairy and food sector of India.
As part Riddhi‘15 a training programme on dairy products for entrepreneurs and farmers named ‘Niravu’ was conducted at KVASU Dairy Plant. Riddhi’15 also organized an Industrial Seminar which facilitated the professionals and industrialists of dairy sector to ideate and showcase their innovative technologies.
A series of events including E-Photography, App designing, Web designing, Poster presentation, Paper presentation and Quiz were conducted as a part the symposium. Moreover, there were attractive cultural events such as Duplicate dance, Musical solo and Band competition.Valedictory function of Riddhi‘15 held on 27th November 2015, presided by Dr. Joseph Mathew, Registrar of KVASU. The function was inaugurated by Sri. Rajan Joseph, Deputy Director of Dairy Development Department, Thrissur. A part of the revenue generated from the programme was donated for the welfare of cancer patients. Riddhi’15 concluded with a musical concert by band named ‘Lagori'
