11Follow the teachings but not the teacher. Skill development and employment generation are the basic objectives of a University. Imparting knowledge and thereby creating a better society is the ultimate goal of a University, says Dr.M.C.Dileep Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. Dr.Dileepkumar made this statement while inaugurating the 28 day Orientation programme for the faculty members of various colleges at the Academic Staff College, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy on 11th February 2016. The role and importance of focused education planning with due importance to text, context and contemporary ideologies shall not be under estimated. Learning shall be made an enjoyable activity through interactive assignments/projects. Remuneration shall not be a constraint for the right candidate, Vice Chancellor added.
Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Director of Entrepreneurship, KVASU during the introductory speech suggested that Orientation programme should envisage teachers to manifest their potential in full strength. Empowering students and making them employable are the major tasks the teachers need to practice.
