08Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU)as part of the Tribal Development project conceptualized in a prospective plan workshop ‘Wayanad 2030’ conducted in 2013, ensures livelihood support in the selected colonies of the district.The project being implemented by the Directorate of Entrepreneurship of KVASU had identified two tribal colonies Boothanam and Chembatty tribal colonies of PozhuthanaandVythiriPanchayaths of Wayanad district. Twenty nine Malabari goats (28 females and 2 males) breeding stock were distributed to 60 families in both colonies. As part of the project goats and cages will be distriubuted to 29 families of Chembatty and Boothanan Tribal Colonies of Vythiri and Pozhuthana Grama panchayats on 3rd March 2016 atrespective colonies. Sri.M.V.Sreyamskumar MLA will inaugurate the programme. Registrar Dr.Joseph Mathew, Director of Academics anfd Research Dr.K.Devada, Director of Entrepreneurship Dr. T.P.Sethumadhavan, Finance Officer Dr.Syam Mohan, Dean Dr.K.Vijayakumar and Chief Engineer Sri. Sunny Thomas will attend the function.
