15.   Major Achievements

 

1.    GRAMASREE

Gramasree is a chicken variety developed by me at the University Poultry Farm, Mannuthy and  released in 2005 along with the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Veterinary College. Gramasree is  a Coloured Bird for Backyard.

2.    ILM 90 (ATHULYA),

ILM-90 (Athulya) is a Commercial hybrid layer developed at the All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Poultry Breeding (Mannuthy Centre) in 1990 which is one of the best hybrid commercial layers available in India. I was associated with the Project as the Poultry Geneticist and Farm Manager from 1981 till 1997.

    3. Establishment of A Model Instructional Farm

The University Poultry Farm was developed into a model instructional farm with different breeds and varieties

4. National Agricultural Technology Project on Productivity enhancement of Ducks - 1999 to 2004 . I have functioned as the Co-PI of the Mannuthy centre.
