KVASU launched Worldwide Information sharing portal to propagate One Health

                              Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University launched worldwide information sharing Domain-WISDOM for promoting one Health. It is intended for global activities at human, animal and environmental health domain. Centre for One Health education advocacy research and Training of KVASU-COHEART launched this online platform. Diverse professional groups across the World can share the events related to one health. Potential stakeholders can publish articles or events related to One Health using this platform.

One Health is exploring the inextricable interconnection and co-existence of humans, pet animals, livestock, wildlife and their surrounding environment. WISDOM will compile the articles and events on monthly basis and serve as an interactive platform for WISDOM web page is created to identify and bring together like-minded professionals and students to organize and support local, creative and innovative awareness and educational events. Here global diverse and authenticated professional groups (including students of any college) can share the events which they have conducted for the benefit of Man, Animal and Environment under the organizers or group credits. Interested groups can publish articles relevant to One Health using this platform. WISDOM will also serve as the platform for One Health Day (OHD) to be commemorated on November 3rd every year. This will serve as the information source for the benefit of Man animal and their surrounding environment told Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Director of Entrepreneurship while inaugurating the WISDOM port at CVAS, Pookode on Monday 27th June 2016. University developed this portal to showcase the activities during the forthcoming One Health Day on November 3 and to generate an inspiring array of projects worldwide said Dr. Prejit, Officer-In-Charge, COHEART and Regional Spokesperson for Asian Countries for OHD. One Health Day is an international campaign co-ordinated by the One Health Commission (United States), the One Health Initiative Autonomous pro bonoTeam and the One Health Platform Foundation. Student teams organizing an event for One Health Day can participate in the event to compete for a $5,000 cash prize.
