Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University launched Civil Services Examination Coaching for the students of Wayanad District on 12th July 2016 at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. District Collector Sri. Kesavendrakumar IAS launched the programme and took two hour session on Civil Services Examination, Syllabus, and Question Pattern and about the preparation. District Collector while launching the programme suggested that students can easily succeed through this exam with continuous effort and self confidence. Choice of the subject is more important. Thorough knowledge of Social Sciences and Science subjects from 6th to 12th Standard is mandatory. Students can prepare for the examination based on the Syllabus and question pattern and marks. Thorough reading is required for successfully answering the essay questions. Students need to read one English and Malayalam daily on a regular basis and to try write small essays on topics of contemporary importance. The essays will be of theme and fact oriented in nature. Recently civil services question papers include lot of questions on Government schemes. Students can write exam in any of the 20 optional languages. Collector told the students. While preparing for Civil services examination students need to think of alternate career path. Preparation for Civil services exam motivates the students to prepare for other entrance examinations like CSIR-JRF, IBPS Bank Probationary Examination, Common Admission Test, etc.
Students from Akalavya Model Tribal Residential School and Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pookode attended the programme along with the students of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. KVASU will facilitate free Civil service coaching with necessary inputs and appropriate library facilities for the students of Wayanad District. Says Dr.Joseph Mathew Registrar during his introductory remarks. This coaching programme will provide career and educational awareness along with civil services coaching along for the students.
