24Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will collaborate with National Dairy Development Board, Anand in the areas of Animal Husbandry and Dairying. As part of finalising the areas of Collaboration Chairman NDDB Sri.T.Nandakumar IAS along with senior officials of NDDB will visit KVASU, Pookode on 25th July 2016.The proposed MoU will be signed during the meeting. NDDB and KVASU intends to share objectives in the field of animal husbandry and dairying with a view to enhance socio economic status of farmers.As per proposed collaboration NDDB and KVASU agree to promote and facilitate scientific cooperation, among others, on conducting joint research and extension of scientific animal husbandry practices in the field of animal husbandry and dairying through, Studying impact of various interventions on productivity of cattle and buffaloes in India, Developing Joint Research proposals to carry out applied research in the areas of dairying and animal husbandry, Identifying animal husbandry & dairying related innovations and developing strategies for their field application, Develop areas of collaboration and networking with dairy cooperatives of the region, Human resource development through training and exposure in the area of Animal Husbandry and dairying, Providing platform for students and researchers for practical/field orientation and carrying out research relevant to field issues in animal husbandry and dairying and approaches which enhances productivity of cattle and buffaloes in India.Registrar Dr.Joseph Mathew, Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Director of Academic Research Dr.K.Devada,Deans and Officers will attend the programme. Chairman NDDB will address the faculty and students of KVASU Pookode campus on 25th July 2016 AN.
