16Kerala State Council for Science Technology & Environment and School of Zonnoses, Public Health and Pathobiology sponsored Biotechnology Training and Workshop on " Newer trends in the Laboratory diagnosis of leptospirosis in animals & humans" is commenced in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology at COVAS, Mannuthy. The programme was inaugurated by Dr.Sisilamma George, Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences which was presided over by Dr. T.P. Sethumadhavan, Director of Entrepreunership, KVASU. Dr. K. AnilKumar, Associated Dean, COVAS Mannuthy and Dr. C. Latha, Implementing officer School of Zonnoses, Public Health and Pathobiology offered felicitations. Dr. Siju joseph Course Director welcomed the gathering and Dr. Binu K Mani, Course co-rdinator offered vote of Thanks. The training manual was released by Dean Dr. Sisilamma George . Fifteen candidates from various Govt and Private institutions are participating in the 10 day programme.Theory and practical hands on sessions pertaining to all the aspects leptospirosis diagnosis is scheduled in the programme.
