04Orientation programme for the Freshers-2016, the first year under graduate students of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will be held at Dream City Auditorium, Pattikkad from 7th to 9th December 2016. Directorate of Students Welfare is implementing this programme with the support from Directorate of Entrepreneurship of KVASU. Orientation programme envisages students to create awareness on Veterinary education, personality enhancement, changing the attitudes, behaviour of students, career development and motivational programmes. Vice Chancellor of KVASU Anil.X IAS will inaugurate the programme on 7th December 2016 at 9.30AM. Registrar Dr.Joseph Mathew will preside over the function. Directors, Deans, Special officers of KVASU and resource persons will take different sessions in the orientation programme. District Collector Thrissur Dr.A.Kowsigan will deliver a lecture on Career development and his experiences as District Collector. Different sessions include coping with institutions in life, yoga, personality development, better living, attitudes, behaviour, motivation and learning, personality development, cyber crime, drug abuse, examination system, prospects of the courses, etc. C.K.Suresh, Director, Institute for Personal Organisational excellence, Thrissur will lead the sessions on personality enhancement and motivation. Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan will enlighten the prospects of Veterinary, Dairy, Food technology and Poultry Science courses. Kerala Kalamandalam artists will perform dance programme-Jugalbandhi on 7th evening at 7 PM. Around 570 first year students from across the KVASU campuses will attend the three day orientation programme.
