10A two days exhibition and seminar on “Know Zoonoses to No zoonoses” was conducted jointly by School of Zoonoses Public Health and Pathobiology and NSS units, CVAS, Mannuhty as a part of Exhibition on Biodiversity for Human Health and Welfare conducted by KKTM Government college, Kodungallur, Thrissur on 5th and 6th of January 2017. The programme was officially inaugurated by Shri. Vipin Chandran, Chairman, Kodungallur Municipality and Prof. Vijayamma, Vice principal of the college welcomed the gathering.
Department of Dairy Science, CVAS, Mannuthy also had participated in the programme with exhibition and sale of various dairy products. A seminar was organized on “Zoonoses and Public Health Significance” for the students of the college and the session was handled by Dr. Deepthi Vijay, Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Public Health, CVAS, Mannuthy. A posture making competition on “Pets and zoonoses” was also held for the students. A quiz competition was also organized for the college students by NSS Volunteer, Manish. K.M. School students from the neighbouring schools also had attended the programme. Around 500 students had benefitted from the programmes.
