20Central Poultry Development Organisation, Bangalore will collaborate with College of Avian Sciences and Management of Kerala Veterinary And Animal Sciences University in training program for students and entrepreneurs, germplasm production and research and successful marketing of poultry products.Being the largest consumer of poultry products, Kerala plays a significant role in industry as well as entrepreneurial opportunities in the growing poultry production scenario. Dr. P.S Mahesh, Director, CPDO made this statement in the certificate distribution program of the Poultry entrepreneurship training program jointly organised by CPDO and KVASU at CASM Thiruvazhamkunnu in Palakkad district.
The 6 days training for entrepreneurs of Kerala discussed various aspects in scientific poultry management,Hatchery and feed mill operations, processing, value addition, project formulations, pollution control, emerging diseases and control, banking, finance and poultry insurance. The training was attended by 50 entrepreneurs from across Kerala. Special officer of CASM Dr. B. Ajith Babu while delivering the presidential address suggested that entrepreneurs need to study the market and pursue for market oriented production programme. He has also assured continuous support to new poultry entrepreneurs for making project proposals to get bank loan,and all types of technical support.
Training co-ordinator Dr. Vineetha PG, CPDO Deputy director Dr. V Krishnan also spoke on the occassion. Those who are are interested in undergoing further advanced training programs in poultry entrepreneurship,facility for registering the same has been arranged in Avian Research Station, Thiruvazhamkunnu.
