17 Pullazhi Kole Sahakaranasangham with the technical support from Directorate of Entrepreneurship of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will launch sale Centre at Olari, Thrissur on 24th March 2017 to market sale to eat agri and allied products. This was made possible through the Start up village project jointly implemented by KVASU, Pullazhi Kole Sahakaranasangham and Thrissur Urban Development Authority. Start village in agriculture is the new concept of KVASU to promote integration of Agri, livestock and fisheries sector. This is a replicable model which can implemented across the State in appropriate areas. 30 identified entrepreneurs of Pullazhi kole practice good agricultural practices without the use of pesticides and antibiotics to promote the production of Safe to eat products under the label KASAVU. Products are to be tested at the instrumentation laboratory of KVASU at Mannuthy to detect the pesticide or antibiotic residues. Products include rice, vegetables, milk, egg, chicken and fish. With the launch of separate sales centre at Kole entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to market the products near to the kole padavu. Products will also be available at KVASU outlets. Sale centres of KVASU will use e commerce, mobile apps and advanced digitalisation to market the products. Farmers, Entrepreneurs and consumers will get the opportunity to get single window source of information from www.kvasuleap.in. They can also interact with scientists through this platform.
Minister for Agriculture and Farmers welfare Adv. V.S.Sunilkumar will inaugurate the sales centre at Olari on 24th March 2017 at 11AM. Pullazhi Kole Sahakaranasangham’s Kissan rice (Massouri rice) will be launched during the function. Thrissur Mayor Smt. Ajitha Jayaraj will preside over the function. District Panchayat President Smt.Sheela Vijayakumar will launch the sale of Safe to eat Products.
