17Directorate of Entrepreneurship of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University participated in the Regional Exhibition and seminar held at Rajendra maidan Kochi as part of Thiru Kochi Animal Fest-Samanyayam-2012 from 14th to 16th January 2012 which was organised by Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Kerala. Hon'ble Union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies inaugurated the Thirukochi Animal Festival. Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Government of Kerala Sri. K.P.Mohanan presided over the function. Hon'ble minister for Excise, Government of Kerala Sri. K.Babu inaugurated the seminar.
Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University's Exhibition pavilion was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture & Animal Husbandry, Government of Kerala. Sri. K.P.Mohanan on 14th January 2012..Hon'ble Minister for Excise, Government of Kerala Sri. K.Babu, Sri.Hybi Eden MLA and other dignitiaries visited the KVASU stall along with the minister. Directorate of Entrepreneurship Dr.S.Ramkumar, Convenor of the programme Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Professor of Research KVASU Dr.K.P.Sreekumar accompanied the minister and explained the Education,Research and Extension activities of the University in brief. Hon'ble Minister Sri. K.P.Mohanan emphasised the importance of augmenting the productivity of livestock products in the state in the changing scenario of emerging food security issues in the state.KVASU pavilion is creating awareness on University's education, research and extension activities, transfer of technologies including Aisawrya Poultry project and the new breeds of poultry developed by the researchers of the University. Minister suggested to further popularize the Aiswarya poultry project in the state which was already in progress. More than 10000 people including farmers and students visited the KVASU pavilion.
