23Research in academic institutions should benefit common man, the present Administrative Member of Central Administrative Tribunal, Ernakulam Bench and the former Chief Secretary of Kerala, Hon’ble Shri. E.K. Bharat Bhushan IAS said while inaugurating the third orientation training programme on ‘Strategic management of human resources among academia’, organized by the Academic Staff College, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy on 20th July. He pointed out the importance of incentivizing a pursuit of excellence in attracting and retaining the best talents in academic institutions. He reiterated that commitment, right attitude and pedagogical skill are essentially the prerequisites of effective teaching.
Dr. K. M. Syam Mohn, Finance officer and Registrar i/c, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University presided over the inaugural function. Dr. K. Devada, Course Director, delivered the introductory note. Dr. N. Ashok, Director, Academics and Research released the compendium of the seminar. Dr. C. Latha, Dean, Veterinary College, Mannuthy welcomed the gathering and Dr. S. Maya, Director, Academic Staff College offered vote of thanks. The training programme scheduled from 20th July to August 16th envisages capacity building of a host of academicians in different disciplines from various colleges and universities across the state. Dr. Koshy John, Dean, Veterinary College, Pookode and Dr. P.V. Tresamol, Associate Dean, Veterinary College, Mannuthy offered felicitations.
