LIMITED TENDER/QUOTATION NOTICE
Sealed tenders/quotations are invited for the supply and installation of the following equipments/machineries/ Electronic instruments as per the specifications and terms and conditions given in ANNEXURE-I
The last date of the receipt of the limited tenders/quotations will be on 29.2.2012 at 3.00 P.M and will be opened at 3.30 P.M. on the same day in the presence of the tenderers/quotationers or their authorized representatives.
All the rules and regulations applicable to Government tenders/quotations will be applicable for this tender/quotation also. One percent of the total value as EMD & agreement (form enclosed) in Kerala Stamp paper of value Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred Only) should be furnished along with the limited tender.
ANNEXURE-I
1.Real-Time PCR system with all accessories
Specifications: 48/96 well plates format-5-25 µl volume per well-Factory calibrated to standard dyes such as HEX/VIC, ROX, Cy5, FAM/SYBR-Detection Sensitivity: 1 Copy-Temperature Uniformity: ±0.1 °C - Temperature range: 35–100 °C - Average ramp rate: 5.0 °C/sec - Accessories - PC, soft wares for all real time PCR chemistries , compatible for absolute and relative quantifications- start‐up consumables. 2. Hybridization oven with accessories.
Specifications: Suitable for Nucleic acids and protein. Capacity – can hold ten 35 x 300 mm tubes -With in built shaker- shaker speed 10 -300 rpm-Temperature –microprocessor controlled-Temp. range: Amb + 5°C to 80 °C- Temp. resolution -0.1 °C. 3. Online UPS
Specifications: 4 KVA online UPS with 5 hr back up for supporting a thermal cycler and a Real Time PCR system. Also quote for 3 KVA and 2 KVA online UPS with 3-4 hr back up.

Specifications: 2.5/3 KVA inverter/UPS to support a -80 °C deep freezer (660 W) with 6 hr back up.
5. Vertical Electrophoresis system with power pack

Terms & Conditions
- The EMD should be furnished by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, Centre for Advanced Studies in Animal Genetics and Breeding, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, payable at SBT, Ollukkara
- The Sealed cover should be superscribed as “Tender/Quotation for the supply of …………………..as per Ref. No. …………………………………… and should be addressed to the Director, Centre for Advanced Studies in Animal Genetics and Breeding, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy,
- The selected firm also will have to furnish the security Deposit of 5% of the total cost and to execute the agreement.
- The cost of the item, tax and other charges if any should be separately stated. Concession in the payment of customs, excise duties and Central Sales Tax shall be applicable on production of necessary certificate.
- The exact specifications, details of make, model; name of manufacturer etc. of the item must be clearly specified. The technical literature & brochures of the item have also to be furnished along with the tender/quotation.
- Warranty details, firmness of the quoted price should be clearly stated.
- The Director, Centre for Advanced Studies in Animal Genetics and Breeding, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy has the right to accept or reject any or all of the offers without assigning any reason thereof.
- List of other similar institutions to which earlier supplies made during the last two years be given if any.

- All sums found due to the University under or by virtue of this agreement shall be recoverable from the Bounden and his properties - movable and immovable – under the provisions of the Revenue Recovery Act for the being in force as though such sums are arrears of land revenue and in such other manner as the University may deem fit.
