The 70th Republic Day was celebrated in a befitting manner with pride and patriotism at College of Veterinary and Animal sciences, Mannuthy:
The ceremony began at 8.30 AM with the hoisting of the National flag by the Dean, Prof (Dr.) C. Latha followed by National anthem and salute by NCC cadets and officers in uniform. The Dean appraised the need for upholding values and integrity, to counteract the current moral issues of the nation. Ex Army Officer, Major (Dr.) Sudheesh S. Nair emphasized upon the necessity for quality education, to sustain the development of the citizens individually and the country at large. The entire college courtyard was resplendent in the shades of tricolor, witnessed by heads of departments, faculty members, students and non teaching staff. Patriotic song sung by the college choir added harmony to the function.
