Limited Tender Notice
Sealed competitive tenders are invited for the supply of following equipments for use in the dairy plant as per the detailed specifications given below. Last date for the receipt of the limited tender is on 24-3-2012 at 3PM, and tenders received will be opened at 3.30PM on the same day in the presence of the tenderer or their authorized representatives.

All the rules /regulations applicable to the Govt. tenders will be applicable to this limited tender also. E.M.D and agreement in Kerala stamp paper worth Rs.100/- as detailed below should be furnished along with the limited tenders. Further details if any can be had from this office of the undersigned during working hours.
Terms and conditions
1. Limited tenders should be accompanied by an EMD of 1% of the total cost of the quoted item by way of crossed DD drawn in favour of Head, Dairy plant, Mannuthy payable at SBT, Ollukkara.
2. The sealed cover containing tenders should be super scribed “Limited tender for the supply of Equipments” and should be addressed to the Head, KVASU Dairy Plant, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy P.O, Thrissur-680 651.
3. Limited tenders should be accompanied by an agreement in Kerala stamp paper worth Rs 100/- as per the format (Annexure) appended.
4. Late and incomplete tenders and tenders without EMD and agreement in Kerala stamp paper will not be accepted.
5. Firms who are exempted from payment of EMD should furnish attested copy of the currently valid certificate from the stores purchase department, Government of Kerala.
6. Selected firms will have to furnish a security deposit of 5% of the total cost of the equipment and execute an agreement in Kerala stamp paper worth Rs 100/-
7. The rate quoted should be inclusive of ST, entry tax (if any) and transportation charges. Installation and commissioning charges if any may be indicated separately.
8. The exact specifications, details of make, model, name of the manufacturer etc. of the equipment offered must be clearly specified. Copies of the detailed technical literature and illustrated brochure of equipment quoted also are to be furnished along with the offer.
9. Details of warranty offered should be clearly stated in the limited tender.
10. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any or all or the offers without assigning any reason whatsoever.

AGREEMENT
Articles of agreement executed on this the …………………….. day of ……………………….. between the Vice-Chancellor of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (herein after referred to as “the University”) of the one part and Shri …………………………………………………….. (H.E. name and address of the tenderer) (herein after referred to as “The bounden” on the other part.
WHEREAS in response to the Notification No ……………… dated ……………….. the bounden has submitted to the University a tender for the ……………………………….. specified therein subject to the terms and conditions contained in the said tender:
WHEREAS the bounden has also deposited with the University a sum of Rs …………………….. as earnest money for execution of an agreement undertaking the due fulfillment of the contract in case his tender is accepted by the University.
NOW THESE PRESENTS WITNESS and it is mutually agreed as follows:
1. In case the tender submitted by the bounden is accepted by the University and the contract for ……………………………….. is awarded to the bounden, the bounden shall within …………………… days of acceptance of his tender execute an agreement with the University incorporating all the terms and conditions under which the University accepts his tender.
2. In case the bounden fails to execute the agreement as aforesaid incorporating the terms and conditions governing the contract the University shall have power and authority to recover from the bounden any loss or damage caused to the University by such breach as may be determined by the University by appropriating the earnest money deposited by the bounden and if the earnest money is found to be inadequate the deficit amount may be recovered from the bounden and his properties movable and immovable in the manner herinafter contained.
3. All sums found due to the University under or by virtue of this agreement shall be recoverable from the bounden and his properties movable and immovable under the provisions of the Revenue Recovery Act for the time being in force as though such sums are arrears of land revenue and in such other manner as the University may deem fit.
