29International collaborative Workshop on Animal Welfare Sciences was inaugurated at CVAS of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy campus on 28th May 2012. This five day workshop is jointly organised by Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University and The University of Edinburgh as part of the project on Knowledge, Economy, Partnership of 2011 of British Council, India. Department of Veterinary Public Health of CVAS, Mannuthy is facilitating the programme.
Major objectives of the programme are to develop and embed a problem based learning approach. Professor Natalie Waran and Dr.Heather Bacon from Royal (dick) School of Veterinary Studies, The University of Edinburgh and is leading the sessions as the resource persons for the workshop. Ms Amritha Sadarangani, Director of Indian Liaison office of The University of Edinburgh is also present for the session. 15 faculty members from KVASU are participating in the workshop.
