03International collaborative Workshop on Animal Welfare Sciences was held at CVAS of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy campus from 28th May 2012- 1st June 2012.. This five day workshop was jointly organised by Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University and The University of Edinburgh as part of the project on Knowledge, Economy, Partnership of 2011 of British Council, India. Department of Veterinary Public Health of CVAS, Mannuthy facilitated the programme.
Major objectives of the programme was to develop and embed a problem based learning approach. Professor Natalie Waran and Dr.Heather Bacon from Royal (dick) School of Veterinary Studies, The University of Edinburgh lead the sessions as the resource persons for the workshop. 15 faculty members from KVASU participated in the workshop.Valedictory function was held on 1st June 2012. Professor Natalie Waran and Dr. Heather Bacon reviewed the activities during the workshop and appreciated the efforts of the participants. Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.S.Ramkumar addressed the gathering and gave away the cerificates. Dean CVAS, Mannuthy Dr.H. Subramanian addressed the gathering.
