Dr.K.M.Jayakumar retired from service on 28th June 2012

                                         Dr.K.M.Jayakumar, Associate Professor & Head, University Veterinary Hospital, Kokkalai of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University,  retired from service on 28.6.2012 consequent to superannuation. Dr.Jayakumar belongs to 1969 batch of College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy. Dr. Jayakumar joined Kerala Agricultural University as ‘Veterinary Surgeon ‘ on 11.8.1975 after working as Honorary Veterinary Surgeon in the Animal Husbandry Department of the state from 1973-75. He was posted as Junior Assistant Professor on 1.1.1976 in the Dept. of Pharmacology and later joined in the Department of Clinical Medicine from 1977 onwards. He became Associate Professor in the year 1990. Dr.Jayakumar worked as the Head of Department, Clinical Medicine, CVAS, Mannuthy during the period 2006-2009, HOD, Clinical Medicine, CVAS, Pookode for the year 2009-10 and as Head of Station, UVH, Kokkalai till superannuation
                    Dr.K.M.Jayakumar, a reputed Veterinary Clinician, has done pioneering works in popularizing Veterinary Ultrasonography in the University. He has 23 research articles to his credit and has guided 16 MVSc students as major advisor or as advisory committee member. Officers, Faculty members, staff and students of KVASU wish Dr.Jayakumar a happy retired life in close association with the academic and  research  activities of the University.
