KVASU signed agreement with the Architectural firm for preparation of Master plan

                                        Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University signed an agreement with a chosen Architectural consultant M/s Klim Art Private Limited, Bangalore on 17th December 2012 for designing its new University Head quarters as well as modernizing its existing campuses across the State of Kerala with ‘state of the art’ infrastructural, scientific and ancillary facilities catering to the development needs of next 20 (twenty) years’.

                                       Agreement in this regard has been signed by Registrar of KVASU Dr.K.P.Sreekumar and Managing Director Dr.Sujit Kumar for Klim art Pvt ltd in presence of Vice Chancellor of KVASU Dr.B.Ashok, Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.S.Ramkumar, Director of Academics and Research Dr.A.Jalaludeen, Deans Dr.H.Subramanian and Dr.Rajendrakumar at KVASU Camp office, Mannuthy, Thrissur. University had selected the Architectural consultant after due competitive process of selection based on information of the past work of the Architect and based on a nationally advertised competitive procedure, and has decided to award the design contract for the Master plan and Architectural design services for its University and college campuses at Pookode in Wayanad, Mannuthy and Chalakudy at Thrissur and Thiruvizhamkunnu at Palakkad and any other future land taken into possession by the University to architect on the said plots.
                                The Architectural Consultant is required to prepare and submit conceptual drawings consisting of layout plan, elevations, sections and perspective of the buildings. The scope of consultancy work shall also include the planning, designing, preparing preliminary as well as detailed working drawings, construction drawings & completion plans of Architectural, Electrical Installations and Substation, and measures for energy efficiency, Sanitary, drainage and water supply including pump sets, Lifts with machine room, HVAC Central Air conditioning or any other suitable Air conditioning system, Fire fighting system including fire pumps, sprinklers, Non wet fire fighting system, Smoke detection and fire alarm system, Landscaping and Gardening, Landscape lighting and garden lighting, DG set, Electrical power distribution, Various building automation services such as CCTV system, Public Address and Conferencing system, External cleaning, UPS, Audio Visual system, Building Management System, Access Control system, security systems etc. necessary for an office building, Interior & Furnishing including loose furniture, workstations etc, Structural glazing, Alco paneling etc, arcade access system, Rain water harvesting system, Solar power pack and solar water heating and lighting system, Environmental study and report, Sewerage treatment plant, Water treatment plant, and Green building features to the extent possible.
The Architectural Consultant shall engage the services of well qualified Specialists or sub-consultants pertaining to the above services and coordinate with them. The Architectural Consultant shall also be responsible for all the work, action, and omissions of such sub-consultants. However, these specialists/ sub-consultants would be engaged by the Architectural Consultant, only after obtaining prior approval of the authorized officer of the University. The design provided by the Architectural Consultant shall be based on National Code of Practice and Design norms, barrier-free design for physically challenged as per the Government of India norms and other sound engineering practices.

D in solar passive architecture and earth coupling for space conditioning of buildings from IIT Delhi. He has been in the pursuit of Intelligent buildings, Green and sustainable buildings design for about 2 decades, and is currently a TERI GRIHA trainer and Evaluator, and a member on the core group / National advisory committee for Sustainable Cities under the Min of Urban housing. Designing with nature, micro climate, and delivering high quality buildings within tight cost and time frames is his forte. He is an invited faculty to many universities and colleges of Architecture.
