EOI called for establishment of Biogas plants at Pookode and Mannuthy

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST- NOTICE

                         Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is soliciting companies having domain expertise and recognition in the field of bio-methanisation technologies with proven track record of implementing medium and large sized mechanisedbio-methanisation projects which are successfully functioning, offering minimum floor space requirement and high biogas yield for given feed stock quantity, for the proposed installation of a 10 ton per day and 1ton per day feed stock capacity bio-methanisation plant at Mannuthy and Pookode campuses respectively subject to following conditions.
1. The entire cost for installation of the plant as well as cost of operation and maintenance of the plantshould be borne by the company.
2. The plants must be of state-of-the art technology, equipped with modern process control and remote monitoring systems for long-term efficient operation and safety.
3. The land for installation of the plant will be provided by the university on a long term agreement to be decided.
4. The required feed stock material (Cow dung, pig manure, poultry manure and food waste from hostels etc.) will be provided by the university free of cost.
5. The biogas produced must be enriched,compressed and bottled and/or compressed and supplied to the hostels and other installations of need.
6. The biogas produced will be bought back by the university for a period of preferably 15 years under a gas buy back agreement.
7. The surplus bottled gas and organic manure will be marketed by the university independently.
Those companies which can fulfill the above criteria may express their interest with full details of technical and commercial proposals to the Registrar KVASU by post or by email:registrar@kvasu.ac.in detailing the specification of the plants and per unit cost of biogas produced, before 2.00 Pm on 25th February 2013.
