23Agricultural and Veterinary Universities in the state should take a lead role in farmer friendly research; Says Hon'ble Minister for Dairying Sri. K.C.Joseph. Minister made this remark during the State level inauguration of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University's project on Productivity enhancement in Dairy cattle through Farmer Scientist interaction at Koothuparamba, Kannur District on 21st May 2013. Directorate of Entrepreneurship of KVASU is the implementing agency of this project.Minister lauded the University officials for implementing this project in 14 districts of the state. Farmer Scientist interaction held at Koothuparamba Municipal Hall was inaugurated by Dr.B.Ashok, Vice Chancellor, KVASU. Vice Chancellor suggested that producers of the commodity should be given the freedom to fix the price.
DIrector of Entrepreneurship Dr.S.Ramkumar delivered the keynote address. Dr.K.AnilKumar, Dr.V.K.Vinod, Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan and Dr.A.Prasad from KVASU participated in the Farmer Scientist interactions held at Koothuparamba as part of NIravu 2013- the State level Agri Livestock and Mango Fair.200 farmers participated in the seminar.
