Professor Rajankutty retired from service

                         Professor K.Rajankutty, Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology retired from service on 7.6.2013 due to superannuation.. Dr.K.Rajankutty has completed BVSc &AH with second rank from CoVAs,Mannuthy in 1978 and MVSc during 1981. Dr.Rajankutty started the career as Junior Assistant Professor,Dept of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology from 20.12.1979 and promoted as Assistant Professor in 1983 and became Associate Professor of Surgery and Radiology in 1989. After acquiring PhD during 1996, he was promoted as Professor of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology in 2004. He served as Professor and Head, Dept. of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, CoVAS, Pookode during 2011-12.
                          During his 33 1/2 years of service in the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, he has moulded several undergraduates and postgraduates and rendered yeomen service to poor, marginal farmers, and general public. He has published more than 70 scientific and 10 popular articles and presented papers in National seminars and Symposia. He has guided one PhD and nine MVSc scholars as Major Guide, six PhD and more than 40 MVSc scholars as minor guide. He was the recipient of Jawaharlal Memorial Fund Merit Award for academic excellence for BVSc&AH programme in 1978 and Best Paper Award during Kerala Science Congress in 2012. He was a referee for several National journals and member of Staff Selection Committee and Expert Committee for several Agricultural and Veterinary Universities of South India and Sree chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology,Thiruvananthapuram.He has active membership in professional bodies like IVA,ISSAR,ISAP,ISVS,Blue Cross society of Thrissur,VFTA and Elephant welfare Association.
