20Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University's Farm Portal KASVU will facilitate appropriate and timely knowledge dissemination across the globe; Says Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sri. K.P.Mohanan. Minister made this statement during the launch of the KVASU's Malayalam Farm Portal, Web Channel and Web Radio-KASAVU on 17th June 2013 at Mascot Hotel, Trivandrum. Minister lauded the efforts of the University in this regard. Sri. K.Muraleedharan MLA presided over the function.
Hon'ble Minister for Dairying Sri. K.C.Joseph inaugurated the Regional Training and Research Centre and Livestock Policy and Research Centre of the University. While inaugurating the centre, Minister suggested that University's research findings should reach the farming community at a faster pace. The scientific innovations of the scientists of the University should reach the farmers within the shortest span of time benefiting the farmers.
Sri. K. Muraleedharan, Hon’ble MLA inaugurated the Launch of the Distance Learning Programme. Sri. M.V. Sreyamskumar, Hon’ble MLA and Member,Board of Management,KVASU inaugurated the University’s State level Self Help Group based outreach programme.Director of Academics and Research Dr.M.R.Saseendranath and Director of Dairy Development Smt. Sarojini offered felicitations. Dr.B.Ashok IAS, Vice Chancellor welcomed the gathering and Registrar Dr.K.P.Sreekumar proposed vote of thanks. Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.S.Ramkumar and Dr.T.P. Sethumadhavan explained about the project and KASVU respectively. Farm portal aims to create awareness and spark interest in the fields of Livestock Development, Dairying, Entrepreneurship, Policy Research, environment and sustainable development through Technology enabled knowledge dissemination mode.
