04Dr.K.R.Harshan
Dr.K.R.Harshan, Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Anatomy and Histology, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy retired from service on 9th May 2011.Within a span of 35 years of service Dr.Harshan had published several research articles and authored the book ‘ applied anatomy for domestic animals.’ He was instrumental in establishing full fledged Veterinary Anatomy laboratory at College of Veterinary and animal Sciences, Pookot and Anatomy museum at Mannuthy. Dr.Harshan had guided 10 PhD and 15 MVSc students in various capacities.
Dr.T.Saradamma
Dr.T.Saradamma, Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy retired from service on 24th May 2011 due to superannuation. Dr.Saradamma joined as Instructor at College of Veterinary and animal Sciences, Mannuthy on 30.06.1976 and served as Professor and Head from 2001 onwards. She had guided one PhD and 11MVSc students and published 63 research articles.
Dr.K.V.Reghunandanan
Dr.K.V.Reghunandanan, Director, Centre for Advanced Studies in Animal Breeding and Genetics retired from service on 25th May 2011.Within a span of 35 years, Dr.Reghunandanan had published more than 45 research articles and authored four books. Dr.Reghunandanan started his career as junior instructor at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy. He was instrumental in establishing Karyotyping laboratory, Vechur germ plasm Conservation centre at Mannuthy and was responsible for getting worldwide recognition for the Vechur cow through Guinness book of world records. He has guided PhD and MVSc students.
Vice Chancellor and senior Officials of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University wishes Dr K.R.Harshan, Dr.T.Saradamma and Dr.K.V.Reghunandanan a very happy retired life in close association with the research activities of the University.
