03 The six days training for the commodity interest group on diarying organized by the Directorate of Entrepreneurship KVASU and ATMA ,Idukki for the farmers of Idukki Block Panchayat started at S.N.D.P. Hall, Kulamavu on 2nd December 2013.. The training was inaugurated on 2nd December, 2013 by Adv. Alex Kozhimala, Jilla Panchayat member, Arakkulam Division, Idukki District Panchayat. Dr.Madhu G.S. Deputy Project Director, ATMA, Idukki presided over the function.. The six days intensive training is intended for developing entrepreneurship among the CIGs with capacity building on breeding, feeding, management, entrepreneurship, milk production, value addition, product diversification, marketing, market linkage, budgeting and accounting, food safety aspects, disease control aspects etc. The classes will be handled by the faculty of KVASU, officers of AHD, Dairy Development Department and other experts. This will also include exposure visit to trainees. The knowledge kit from the Directorate of Entrepreneurship has been distributed to the trainees during the function.
This State wide training would be 9th training in the series of 20, conducted by the Directorate of Entrepreneurship on commodity interest group. This training is intended for capacity building among three CIG groups ”Thanima”, “Anugraha” and “Pulari” who are currently engaged in marketing “nature fresh” milk in Thodupuzha says coordinator Dr.Deepa Ananth.
