08Under the auspices of the memorandum signed by KVASU and University of Western Australia for education,research and exchange program of scientists; Dr.G.Girish Varma, Dr.A.Prasad and Dr.E.M.Muhammed from KVASU had visited UWA during 2013 September.
Now, Professor Shane K Maloney from University of Western Australia who is most renowned scientist in thermoregulation will be present there to interact with press, media, faculty, research scholars, students etc. in the "OPEN DAY" on 06-12-2013 at 09.30AM, in the Seminar Hall, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookode, Wayanad which is organised by the Centre for Animal Adaptation to Environment and Climate Change Studies (CAADECCS).
Professor Shane K Maloney, University of Western Australia is an acclaimed internationally reputed scientist in the field of thermal physiology of animals, particularly the regulation of brain temperature, and the consequences of strategies used by animals to maintain thermal homeostasis. He has been invited to initiate research and education programmes in the field of climate change and animal agriculture. He is now in KVASU and handling guest lectures in thermal physiology to the Trainee Participants of the DST-SERB training on “Fundamentals of Livestock Meteorology” being organised from 02-22 December 2013 at Centre for Animal Adaptation to Environment and Climate Change Studies (CAADECCS), COVAS, KVASU, Mannuthy.
He has also been invited to address the students and faculty members of KVASU, Pookode in connection with Open Day Session on climate change and animal agriculture, arranged on 6th December 2013. The students and faculty members of neighbouring schools, colleges and Institutes including print and e media personnel of Wayanad district are likely to participate to interact with Professor Shane K Maloney.
