KVASU INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR AFFILIATION FROM RECOGNISED COLLEGES/EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

             Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) started at Pookode, Wayanad with effect from 14th June 2010 as per the 3/2011 Act of Government of Kerala. University started functioning with the objective of becoming one of the National level Universities in the areas of Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Management and allied biological sciences. University had received Rs 200 Crore funding from Government of India and Government of Kerala for developing infrastructure facilities and augmenting research activities. University has two campuses; one at Pookode and the other at Mannuthy with two colleges of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and one college of Dairy Science and Technology offering UG, PG and doctoral programmes with 45 Departments, five interdisciplinary schools and centres of research each. 

              University identified new areas of research and started courses after identifying the career potential within the country and abroad. As per KVASU Act and decisions of the Governing bodies University is planning to extend the facilities to the recognized colleges in the State for providing the facilities for starting the courses of the University including B.V.Sc.&A.H. and B.Tech.(Dairy Science & Technology). New courses include M.Sc. in Quality assurance in Dairying, Biostatistics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Animal Biotechnology, Applied Microbiology, Animal Biotechnology and Animal Science, M.S. in Wildlife studies and Diplomas in Dairy Science, Poultry Production and Laboratory Techniques.

            KVASU invites applications for affiliation of new colleges/ introduction of new courses of study and seats for admission in recognized arts and science colleges, engineering colleges, medical and paramedical colleges /educational institutions in the state for the year 2015 in the prescribed form along with No Objection Certificate from affiliated University and application fee. Filled in application should reach the Office of the Registrar, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode, Lakkidi (P.O.), Wayanad 673576 on or before 20th May 2014.
