13As part of skill development programme of Animal Husbandry Department, 25 days training programme for the fourth batch of entrepreneurs in the area of Hatchery management begins at Centre for Advanced studies in Poultry Science of KVASU, Mannuthy Campus, Thrissur. KVASU is implementing this project in association with Animal Husbandry Department. 48 entrepreneurs identified through Livestock Management Training Centres across the State are attending the programme. They will be given hands on training in different areas of Hatchery management including breeding, feeding, management, disease control, marketing, organic farming, project formulation,etc.Experts from KVASU, Animal Husbandry Department, local bodies and NABARD will handle different sessions. Dean, CVAS, Pookode Dr.Leo Joseph inaugurated the programme. Director CASPS Dr. K.Narayanan kutty presided over the function. Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Head, Publications and Dr.S.Sankaralingam, Asst Professor and Head, UPDF, Mannuthy offered felicitations. Training co-ordinator Dr.B.Ajith Babu welcomed the trainiees and Hatchery Manager Dr. Vimal Antony expressed vote of thanks.
