KVASU will organise Job fair 2014@Pookode, Waynanad from 8th to 9th May 2014

                          Under the aegis of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship,  Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is planning to organize a Job Fair for the first time at the University Head quarters, Pookode, Wayanad on 8th and 9th of May, 2014. As yours is an institution of repute in Livestock/Veterinary health care sector, our students are very much interested in knowing more about your product portfolio and hiring plans. You can grab this opportunity to create envoys for your firm by recruiting some bright talents from this institution. Important:We are happy to provide you a stall with 10 ft X 10 ft floor space having basic amenities viz., lighting, one table, two plastic chairs and one pedestal fanat the venue free of cost.Any additional facilities required shall be brought to the notice of the Organizing Secretary. The expenses for such facilities shall be borne by the employer/organization themselves.

About the University

                 The sunrise potential for education and research in Veterinary and Animal Sciences has given way for the establishment of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU).It came into existence on 14th June, 2010 as per Ordinance No.44/2010 and later Act 3/2011 of the Government of Kerala. The University has its mandates on education, research and entrepreneurship development in Animal Production, Animal Health Care and Dairy sector of Kerala.The newly formed University is located in the scenic hilly terrain of Pookode in Wayanad district, Kerala, India. Twenty animal production-related institutions of Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) including three Colleges were transferred to the newly formed University. The three constituent colleges include College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS), Mannuthy, Thrissur, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS), Pookode, Wayanad and College of Dairy Science and Technology (CDST), Mannuthy. College of Avian Sciences and Management, Thiruvazhamkunnu, Palakkad will soon be added to the University. Moreover the university has research stations situated in the districts of Thrissur and Palakkad.

This is the fourth year of actions and celebrations since the formation of the University. The University has made strides of progress with commendable contributions in academics, research and entrepreneurship promotion. One of the fields where the University spotted a challenge was the introduction of new academic programmes apart from the conventional degrees awarded. As a result there has been an upsurge in the intake of students in the University.Comprehensive development of livestock and allied sectors still remains a vision and hence it was taken as our mission to initiate academic programmes in diverse subjects of Veterinary, Dairy, Poultry and allied fields.

The programmes and courses that are offered at KVASU are perpetually evolving to adapt to the ever changing global requirements. We ensure quality education, superb faculty and the best opportunities for students in the global markets. The young and vibrant faculty pool here, besides doing world class research, ensure that the students of the campuses are ready to face the challenges of the professional world by providing them with a sound conceptual understanding of their respective disciplines, and also by playing a huge role in their development as individuals who can lead a successful and complete life. In addition to academics, we also focus on providing students with opportunities for all round development.
