02Government is making all efforts to strengthen dairying in the State; Says Sri.K.C.Joseph, Hon’ble Minister for Dairying, Government of Kerala. Minister made this statement while inaugurating and distributing the prizes to the winners of Cattle show and the State level seminar on prospects of Dairying held at Thodupuzha on 2nd January 2015 in connection with the Cattle show and agrifair organised by Gandhiji Study Circle, Thodupuha, Kerala Livestock Development Board, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Animal Husbandry Department and ATMA, Idukki. Dairy farmer’s pension will be revised soon taking in to account the increasing cost of living. Meeting of the dairy ministers of south India will be held at Trivandrum on 6th January 2015. The meeting will explore the possibility of incorporating Dairying under MGNREGS. Minister added. Minister for Irrigation, Government of Kerala and Chairman, Gandhiji Study Circle Sri. P.J.Joseph and Sri. Francis George (Ex MP) addressed the farmers. Sri. Vakkachan Mattathil (Ex MP) welcomed the delegates. Director of Entrepreneurship of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Managing Director of KLDB Dr.Jose James and ATMA project Director, Idukki District Dr.G.S.Madhu took classes.
