· In consonance with clause 468 of the first Statutes of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, the Hon’ble Chancellor of the University has been pleased to accord permission to conduct the First Convocation of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University on 6th March 2015 (Friday) at 4:00 PM at the University Headquarters, Pookode, Wayanad.
· On the occasion, conferment of Bachelor, Master’s and Doctoral degrees and Diplomas to all candidates who have successfully completed the requirements for the award of such degrees/diplomas of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will be held.
· All Post Graduate/Doctoral (Ph.D/ MVSc/MSc/MS) and Diploma (Dairy Science, Laboratory Techniques & Poultry Production) students whose results have been published during the period from March to December, 2014 of the academic year 2014-2015 and all Under graduate students of B.V.Sc and AH and B.Tech (Dairy Science & Technology) programme awaiting results, are eligible for admission to the above convocation. They will be admitted to their degrees and diplomas either in person or in absentia.
· All eligible candidates are required to apply for admission to the convocation in the prescribed form downloading it from the link given below to the Registrar, KVASU on or before 13th February 2015, 5:00 PM
· The convocation fee of Rs.1, 000/- (One Thousand Rupees Only) shall be remitted either as cash at the Directorate of Academics and Research, Pookode, Wayanad, or by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, KVASU, Pookode, Lakkidi P.O, Wayanad 673 576 payable at any nationalized Bank at Kalpetta, Wayanad, Kerala. Details of DD must be attached to the application. The name and address of the candidate should be mentioned on the reverse side of the demand draft. Money orders will not be accepted.
· Candidates who desire to attend the convocation and receive their Degrees/Diploma in person may apply “in person”. The certificates of those who apply in absentia will be sent to them by post after the convocation. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit.
· Candidates who have been awarded degrees after 01.04.2011, desirous of being admitted to this convocation “in person”, may contact the Registrar separately.
· Candidates who are awarded with gold medals/rank certificates shall be admitted to the convocation “in person” only. The list of medal/rank recipients will be announced in due course.
· Dress code: All boy students must be in white shirt, black/light brown/light grey pants, black coat with Universityneck tie and black leather laced shoes. All girl students must be in Kerala Sari (off white with 2” golden border and off white blouse with same golden border on sleeves).The University has decided to adopt the western attire of gown and top hat to all participants. Arrangements will be done for making the attire available on the day on rent.
· A full dress rehearsal of the event will be held on 5th March 2014 (Thursday) from 9.00 AM onwards. Those who are attending in person, must positively attend the rehearsal, without which they will not be admitted to the convocation.
