As part of Student Entrepreneurship Programme, College of Dairy Science and Technology of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University started sales counters at Veterinary Hospital Campus, Kokkalai, Thrissur in connection with the Thrissur Pooram festival. The stalls will be fully managed by students. All the dairy products of the University including publications will be available for sale at the sales counter. The sales counter will function from 28th to 30th April 2015. Thrissur Mayor Sri.Rajan Pallan inaugurated the sales counter on 28th April 2015. Health standing committee Chairman Sri. K.Gireesh kumar, Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Dr.Sisilamma George and Dean, College of Dairy Science and Technology Dr.G.Gireesh Varma attended the programme. In association with Thrissur Corporation University will launch sales counters at Pooram Exhibiton stall and in front of the Thrissur Corporation building.
As part of creating awareness on elephant safety and Human-elephant conflict, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University produced a Brochure for police officers on Elephant safety which was prepared by Dr. T.S.Rajeev, Asst Professor, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy. The Programme was held at Thrissur Town Hall on 28th April 2015.Dean Dr.Sisilamma George released the publication after handing over it to ADGP Sri.Sankar Reddy IPS. Around 1000 police officers participated in the awareness programme. Dr.T.S.Rajeev and Dr.K.S.Thilakan took classes. Director of Entrepreneurship KVASU Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan and Dr.P.B.Giridas attended the programme.
