The first World Milk Day was celebrated in 2001 as established by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and thereafter many countries throughout the world have been participating in the celebrations. India is also commemorating the same every year. The day is celebrated to increase the public awareness about all aspects of milk and milk industry.The College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy & Indian Dairy Association (Kerala Chapter) is jointly celebrating WORLD MILK DAY – 2015 on June 1st at the Auditorium of the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy from 9.30 am to 12 Noon. As part of the same, a lecture on the topic ‘Climate change and Dairy Development’ shall be organized.
