26Orientation programme for newly recruited Assisted professors held at KVASU, Pookode Campus. The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University at Pookode, Wayanad organised a three day induction programme to the newly recruited Assistant Professors of the University from 19th to 21st June 2015. Recently the University had posted 88 Assistant Professors in various disciplines in the constituent colleges. The induction programme intends to transfer skills and attitudes required to discharge their roles as vibrant and enterprising faculty members,enabling them to bring out quality in teaching, research and entrepreneurship activities. It is also to orient the new recruits to emerging methods of pedagogy, research priorities and to build up an attitude for creating a better learning situation benefitting the students and the society.The programme will be inaugurated on 19th June at Pookode Headquarters. This being the first phase of the Induction programme, concentrates on the development plans of the University and the validation for such plans. The sessions were handled by renowned speakers as well as the University officials. Vice Chancellor Dr.B.Ashok inaugurated the programme. Registrar Dr.Joseph Mathew presided over the function. Director of Academics & Research Dr.K.Devada welcomed the delegates.
